IGKV Guest Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

The walk-in interview for the Guest Teacher (Plant Pathology) post at Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), College of Agriculture and Research Station, Mahasamund (C.G.) is scheduled for 20 November 2025 at 11.00 AM at College of Agriculture, Raipur (C.G.). Posts and Eligibility

There is one post of Guest Teacher in Plant Pathology. The minimum qualification is a Master degree in Plant Pathology of Agricultural faculty with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade 6.50, 10.00 scales) with good academic record. The honorarium depends on which of the three qualification slabs printed in the notice the candidate meets.

NET exemption for Ph.D. holders applies only when both of these conditions are met:

• The Ph.D. degree was completed with course work as prescribed by UGC Regulation 2009.
• The candidate has at least two full length publications with a NAAS rating not less than 4 on the last date of submission of the application.

Candidates with a Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption. The application form asks whether the candidate has qualified NET conducted by ICAR/UGC, with a copy of the certificate as proof.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 40 years. The notice does not print a cut-off date for counting age.

How to Apply

The application has to be made on the Application Form for Guest Teacher printed with the advertisement. The notice says the application format can also be downloaded from the university website www.igau.edu.in.

1. Fill in the application form, giving the name of the post and subject, the advertisement number and the serial number of the post.
2. Affix a self-attested passport photograph on the form and sign the declaration.
3. Attach the documents listed below.
4. Address the application to the Dean, College of Agriculture and Research Station, Kanpa, Dist. Mahasamund (C.G.).
5. Send it by post or by hand, or submit it at the email address [email protected].
6. Make sure it is submitted by 13 November 2026, before 5:00 PM.
7. Attend the interview on 20 November 2025 at 11.00 AM at College of Agriculture, Raipur (C.G.).

Documents named in the notice

• Self-attested photographs (02 No.)
• Copies of certificates (educational and other), degrees and mark sheets or transcripts, from High School to Doctoral degree as applicable
• Copy of the NET certificate, for candidates who have qualified NET
• Copies of certificates of academic excellence, such as a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal at UG/PG/Ph.D. level
• Research papers: a complete list of publications in bibliographical form, with reprints as proof
• Copy of the appointment order or experience certificate for experience as RA/RF/JRF/TA/Farm Manager/SMS in any university, R&D organisation of repute or Central/State Government
• Certificate from the competent authority, for candidates with a disability

The form asks for details of mother tongue, other languages, category (UR, SC, ST, OBC), Chhattisgarh residence and publications. It also asks for experience in reverse chronological order. Candidates already in service must have the "Remarks of the present employer" section filled and signed by the officer with official seal, stating that they will be relieved if selected.

Important Instructions

• The post is for one year.
• The post is purely temporary. Selected candidates have no right to claim regular appointment on any post advertised by Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur.
• If the performance of the selected candidate is found unsatisfactory, services can be withdrawn without prior notice.
• After selection and before joining, the candidate must submit an affidavit on stamp paper of Rs. 50/-.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
