Nirma University seeks a visionary leader capable of strengthening and transforming the Institute of Science into a globally respected centre of excellence in science education, interdisciplinary research, innovation, and industry collaboration. The Director shall serve as the Academic and Administrative Head of the Institute, providing strategic leadership for academic excellence, research and innovation, interdisciplinary initiatives, faculty and student development, industry and international collaborations, sponsored research and consultancy, accreditation and quality assurance, innovation and entrepreneurship, and overall institutional growth, governance, and resource management.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the following essential qualifications and experience requirements:
- Possess a Ph.D. degree in Science / Applied Science, preferably in Biotechnology, from a reputed University or Institution of national/international repute.
- Have an outstanding academic record throughout.
- Be an eminent scholar with significant contributions to research with at least Ten (10) years of experience as Professor or equivalent in Universities, Institutions of National Importance, Research Organizations, or reputed Institutions of Higher Education.
Preference will be given to candidates having the following desirable attributes:
- Leadership experience in premier institutions such as IITs, IISERs, IISc, Central Universities, National Laboratories, or globally reputed institutions.

Pay and Terms
The appointment shall be on a regular basis. The salary shall be at par with the Professor (Level-14) as per the 7th Pay Commission, along with other perks applicable to the Post of Director. Exceptional candidates may be considered for higher compensation subject to approval of authorities.
